As a prerequisite to this course you must have taken and passed Tactical Pistol I within one year of registering for this course. Tactical Pistol II is geared toward the Intermediate level shooter while building on the skill and abilities developed in the Tactical Pistol I course. During this demanding 9 hour course, students will learn
• Injured man drills (single left & single right handed) Dry fire. Mag changes (one handed drills)
• Firing two-handed L&R and one-handed L&R
• Draw from holster one handed both R&L only
• Magazine manipulations left hand hold
• Malfunctions left hand hold
• Kneeling and prone
• #2 position shooting with strike to face
• Forward/rearward/lateral movement
• Tactical “L” movement
• Barricades (strong & support side), stand, kneel, prone
• Corning drill (#2 position)
• Ground fighting (falling back, side to side)
• Muzzle discipline
• Sul (South) positions
• 360° safety circles
Class size is kept small to permit individual instruction. Students will be required to pass a shooting qualification so successfully complete the course. A certificate of training is awarded to those students who complete and pass the course and exhibit competence and safe gun handling skills.
