Do I qualify for the LEOSA HR 218 ?2023-05-24T11:52:54-05:00

The Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA), often referred to as HR 218, allows qualified Law Enforcement officers (LEOs) and qualified retired LEOs (RLEOs) to concealed carry in any jurisdiction in the United States, regardless of state or local laws, with some exceptions. It was enacted in 2004 and amended in 2010 and 2013. 18 U.S. Code § 926B & 926C Therefore, an individual who qualifies under LEOSA does not need a state-issued concealed carry permit in order to carry a concealed firearm in any state.

How long is the First Steps Into Firearms class in total?2021-12-16T09:40:30-05:00

Our First Steps Into Firearms course is about 4 hours long. Mostly classroom-based work with training weapons and no live ammunition. Depending on how quickly you learn the fundamentals we may head over to range down the street the same day and apply everything you learned with live ammunition.

Will we need to pay to rent guns for the day?2021-12-07T08:29:44-05:00

If you do not own any firearms you will need to rent especially when we head over to the range to do live fire. This is a great opportunity to also try out different guns like Glocks, Sigs, CZs, and more since we have all those and more. We also have various calibers of guns you can rent and choose from as some students prefer using different calibers aside from the most commonly used 9mm.

Anything you need from guns to ear and eye protection is available to rent. See our Rentals page for details

If you plan on renting we can also factor that into the price of the course for the gift card so everything is covered.

Also once we move on to live fire we also sell ammo at discounted prices for our students. You may not be aware as this is all new to you but due to the pandemic ammo has been scarce and unfortunately more expensive but we kept a large inventory just for our students so we are able to sell it at prices lower than what you would find online.

Can the class be scheduled for the weekend or is it just Monday-Friday?2021-12-07T08:30:57-05:00

We are very flexible with scheduling. We offer classes during the week or on weekends and they can be done during the day or the evening time. Once you have an idea of ideal times and dates we can go through available dates and times and schedule you! Questions? Contact Us!

The cost for both is $150 but only one qualification ammunition is supplied. When you register for your one qualification just mention in the notes that you are there to do both qualifications. The extra payment of $50 can be collected on site.
