Tactical Carbine I

This is a continuation of our Carbine Fundamentals course (prerequisite to attend) During this 9 hr course shooters will have the opportunity to fine tune their skills and learn additional tactical maneuvers and techniques. As with all Tactical Firearms Academy classes you will need to pass a qualification in order to earn the certificate of completion.

• Multiple Shooting Positions
• Barricades
• Support side shooting
• Immediate Action/Malfunction Drills
• Pivots and Turning Techniques
• Shooting While Moving
• Long distance engagement
• Transition To Handgun Drills
• Multiple Threat Engagement
• Qualification

PREREQUISITE: Students must have successfully completed Carbine Fundamentals, Multi-gun Competition Course or a similar course from an accredited shooting instructor or school.

Required Items

• Zeroed Semi/Select fire Carbine or full auto carbine/patrol rifle
• A secondary (backup) long gun is suggested
• Ear protection and wrap around eye protection (Mandatory)
• Knee pads (elbow pads optional)
• Spare batteries for sights and tools for sight adjustment
• Optics such as red dot or magnified optics with iron sight as backup
• Maintenance/Repair Kit
• 3 extra magazines with magazine pouches
• 500 rounds of rifle ammunition (ammunition can be purchased through TFA upon request)
• Weapon sling
• Pistol with holster, spare magazine and 250 rounds ammunition
• Long pants with belt loops and a sturdy belt.
• Lightweight clothing and light in color, avoid black (NO tank tops or V-necks)
• Sturdy, closed toe shoes (athletic, hiking, outdoor styled shoes. NO open toe shoes)
• Ball cap or brimmed hat, and sunscreen
• Insect repellent
• Snacks and lunchtime meals
• Adequate water to remain hydrated
