Tactical Firearms Academy is actively engaged in the shooting community and also sponsors or co-sponsors a number of events in South Florida. Here are some of the fun shoots we participate in on a regular basis:
TFA Steel Challenge
This is a monthly event held at TFA Range in Clewiston, FL on the 3rd Sunday of every month from 9:00am – 2:00pm and is open to pistol caliber shooters, cost is $45. This is an all steel event with up to 5 stations and you have the chance to run each station 5 times. We also add in more challenging obstacles like Shooting from behind, through and around barrel obstacles. Adding hostage or no shoot targets and other fun challenges. This event is open to all TFA students and provides the ability to practice what they’ve learned in our training classes. The TFA Steel Challenge is also open to other shooters if they have a completed structured training class in the discipline they wish to participate. This is an intermediate to advanced event. It is not an instructional training class nor is it open to beginner/new shooters. Subgun Sunday
A local event held at the TFA facility in Clewiston, FL every first Monday of the month. Open to shooters with a semi-auto or full auto carbine/submachine gun. Contact info@tacticalacademy.us for details and registration.

Palm Bay Sub-gun Match
Another monthly event that occurs on the first Sunday of the month at the Port Malabar Rifle and Pistol Club. Focused predominantly on the select fire community, this match is open to anyone with a pistol caliber sub-gun or pistol caliber carbine.
