Sometimes we catch people fishing for the dot once

Sometimes we catch people fishing for the dot once they’re at full extension. We believe that you should see the dot as you’re punching out. It starts with the gun being level to the target before you start your punch out.

This is something that can (and should) be practiced at home. Create that muscle memory so you’re finding the dot every single time.

We don’t just explain fundamentals, we show them to you because most people comprehend and retain information better when they see it.

Our job is for you to leave the range understanding the “why” behind what you’re doing. That requires us to be able to demonstrate it with the desired outcome every single time.

If someone can’t show you results after telling you to do something , then how do you know it’s correct to begin with? Some would say the demonstration is the proof that it works. Just our opinion on instructing here at TFA and why we believe in our methods.

Slide is closed so either a round did not FEED into the chamber resulting in an empty chamber or the round in the chamber did not FIRE.

b) immediately clear it

Be honest, because if it takes you more than 3 seconds to recognize the malfunction or you’re pausing to try and remember the clearing procedure than you probably aren’t practicing enough. Remember, we don’t rise to the occasion we sink to the level of our training when SHTF.
