The Carbine/Patrol Rifle Fundamentals course is designed for the entry level carbine shooter who has not had any formal training and wishes to learn how to effectively and efficiently manipulate and accurately shoot a carbine. During this 9 hour block of instruction, students will learn:
• Nomenclature / field strip / method of function
• Equipment discussion (optics, slings, carry rigs, mags)
• 8 Fundamentals of Marksmanship
• Presentation (ready positions)
• Magazine changes / loading & unloading
• Clearing malfunctions
• Firearm zero (25/50/100 yds) Live fire
• Transitions
• Position engagement (kneeling-prone)
• Firing from the support shoulder
• Flash sight picture
At the end of this course, all shooters will need to pass a qualification shoot with added stress conditions where all techniques learned will be put to the test. Do you have what it takes to pass the class?

Course Fee: $220
Firearm Rental: $80.00 (includes sling, magazine pouches, 3 magazines and selective fire carbine with optics/iron sights)
Required Items
• Semi or NFA registered full auto carbine/patrol rifle
• NFA Weapon documentation (if applicable)
• A secondary (backup) long gun is suggested
• Ear protection and wrap around eye protection (Mandatory)
• Knee pads (elbow pads optional)
• Spare batteries for sights and tools for sight adjustment
• Optics such as red dot or magnified optics with iron sight as backup
• Maintenance/Repair Kit
• 3 extra magazines with magazine pouches
• 500 rounds of ammunition (ammunition can be purchased through TFA upon request)
• Weapon sling
• Pistol with holster, spare magazine and 200 rounds ammunition
• Appropriate range attire (no tank tops, v necks, sandals, flip flops)
• Ball cap or brimmed hat, and sunscreen
• Insect repellent
• Snacks and lunchtime meals
• Adequate water or other liquids to remain hydrated
• Note Taking Materials
